The sedimentation container from Nordisk Vannteknikk AS is the simplest and cheapest solution for sedimentation of particles in polluted water. This solution is used to remove the coarsest sediments, and is often combined with other treatment solutions to achieve the desired degree of water purity.
The container contains 2 partitions for the water to flow over and under. This causes larger particles to sink to the bottom and form a sludge layer, while the clean water flows out of the container in an overflow. The sludge must be removed manually with a suction truck.
